Thibault Cuisiniere

At Emerton Data, Thibault combines data strategy consulting, hands-on bioinformatics and data science, and business development. He has been a key contributor to a biological digital twin of the gut microbiome, a cloud platform built on community-scale metabolic modelling, with an agentic AI assistant, for a health and nutrition R&I leader. He also drives the firm’s AI for R&D offer with fermentation, microbiome and agri-food biotech companies.

Thibault has deep expertise in microbiome data analysis, metabolic modelling, reproducible bioinformatics pipelines, predictive modelling and biostatistics, as well as R&D data strategy and data management.

He has in-depth sector knowledge of food and nutrition, fermentation and industrial biotech, and health and life sciences.

Thibault holds a Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from Université de Montréal, where his research explored how antibiotics and dietary iron reshape the gut microbiota and influence colorectal cancer, and an engineering degree in industrial biology from École de Biologie Industrielle (EBI). He has published in peer-reviewed journals including Microbiome, BMC Microbiology and Cancer Research Communications.
