Julio Louzada is CTO of Emerton Data and Kaukana Ventures. He has over 10 years of experience in building and managing large Tech, Data & Artificial Intelligence projects in several environments: from the start-up (Kamet, Apricity, Kameleoon, Zefir) to the large corporation (AXA), and to digital consulting.

Before joining Emerton Data, Julio was Head of Engineering at Zefir, where he built the entire 20-people engineering team and tech infrastructure of the real-estate company. Previously, Julio co-found world's first virtual fertility clinic, Apricity, building and managing the company's AI, data and engineering teams. He is also an advisor of the health-tech startup MyC.

Julio has a deep expertise in digital, tech & data: infrastructure, web development, mobile development, data engineering, advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science. He has in-depth sector knowledge in insurance, marketing, real estate, and health.

Julio holds bachelor degrees from Ecole Polytechnique in France and UFRJ in Brazil, master degrees from UFRJ and Sorbonne University, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Telecom SudParis - where he published several scientific articles in first class peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
